Why should I use a Plenum?

It’s highly recommended every installation uses a Plenum. The reason for this is because it allows for easy ducting connection, allowing for even cooling coverage throughout the room.

Is a plenum really necessary?

Absolutely, just for the fact it allows you to control the airflow throughout the space. On some of our units the plenum is already integrated which makes things easier however it's not always the desired size, number/size of outlets so we offer free customization. 

How do I build a Plenum?

Match the edges up to make a 90 degree edge and using a hammer bang the edge into the side opening from top to bottom. Repeat so all four sides are complete. Place the top over all the edges and hammer the top down, once everything is together hammer the four corners inward locking the top piece down.

How do I mount my Indoor Air Handler with a plenum?

You can use a plenum as a support. If you are looking to mount horizontally, you must have it sit on its right side, this is because the drain pan is on this side and the water will run off the A-coil and into the drain pan.
